Dan has been a Business Owner and Entrepreneur for most of his 36 years of business experience.

Dan has also been the COO and VP of Operations for a Public Company and has been involved in an IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He has played an active role in business sales transactions from as low as $80,000 to as high as $70,000,000. 

Prior to starting Murphy Business Atlantic, Dan purchased approximately fifteen companies both for himself and for others, including both asset and share transactions. He has also sold companies, started several others, and shut down ones that weren’t working – across all four Atlantic Provinces.

Dan has M&A (Merger and Acquisition) experience, has participated in numerous sales transaction closings, and has broad experience in Business Valuations and Due Diligence.

When he’s not in the office, you will find Dan walking his dog Hali, or talking trash on the basketball court.
